Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about lessons, registration and our Saskatoon locations. Still stuck? Call (306) 955-6121.

What instruments and lessons does Studio 12 offer?

Piano, guitar, ukulele, bass and voice lessons, plus songwriting, for beginners and experienced students across Saskatoon. See all music classes.

What ages do you teach?

Each teacher sets their own minimum age. You'll see it in the Ages column beside every lesson time on all music classes and on each teacher's page. Not sure? Call the office.

Where are Studio 12's locations?

East (1121 College Drive), West (309 Fairmont Drive) and North (251 Russell Road). See locations.

How do I register for lessons?

Choose a time on all music classes and press Register. You can browse by instrument, location, teacher or day.

How much do lessons cost?

Every new student starts with the Four-Week Intro for $79, whatever the program or location. After that, tuition is the monthly rate shown beside each class, plus a $12 registration fee per class.

Where can I read the class policies?

When you choose a class on all music classes and press Register, the policies for that class appear at the bottom of the registration form. You'll be asked to agree to them before you submit, so you can read everything before you commit.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, $12 per class, charged once when you register.

Do you offer summer lessons?

Yes. Summer classes open for registration in May and run 7–8 weeks, priced as one full-session payment rather than monthly. See summer programs.

Do students perform in showcases?

We hold showcases where students perform for family and friends. Dates are posted on our events page as they're confirmed.

Do you offer a trial or introductory lesson?

Every new registration starts with the Four-Week Intro block, currently $79. Intro payments are non-refundable, so it's a real four-week start rather than a single free lesson.

Do I need to provide my own instrument?

Guitar: a 3/4-size acoustic for students under 12; full-size acoustic or electric for 12 and up (amps are available at the studio). Piano: a weighted-key electric or acoustic piano at home, at minimum our keyboard starter kit. Voice: nothing needed. Ukulele and bass: ask your teacher.

What is your cancellation or make-up lesson policy?

Missed lessons are forfeited. Lessons your teacher cancels are rescheduled or credited by year-end. With 24 hours' notice you can reschedule for a $5 admin fee, space permitting; make-up requests go through the office. Cancelling enrolment needs 30 days' written notice.

How long has Studio 12 been serving Saskatoon?

More than 15 years, with eight consecutive Consumer Choice Awards for Best Music School (2019–2026).

Who will I (or my child) be learning from?

Meet the team on our teachers page; each teacher's page shows their open times.
